GEOCLIL

What’s geography?

It is the study of the Earth, its aspects and phenomena. The word geography derives from Greek and means to describe the Earth. So, when we study geography, we study the Earth: its continents, seas, rivers, mountains. We also study its people and animals as well as phenomena like winds, tides and earthquakes. Maps can help us analyse all this.

1. Look at the maps below (A-E) and match them with their definitions (1-5).

DID YOU KNOW?

In the UK our  Ora legale is called British Summer Time (BST) or Daylight Saving Time (DST). It is the time used from the end of March to the end of October. It is one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time. In this way we have more sunli- ght during this period.
